Supporting Local Charities through Foundation 1

Foundation 1 - Raising money and awareness to non profit organizationsFoundation 1 is a concept that it only takes 1 to make a difference. 1 person, 1 idea, 1 company, 1 city, 1 nation. At Custom Sweat, we are committed to making a difference with the people and community around us. Generosity and charitable giving are very contagious. It just takes one person to set the chain in motion. BE THE ONE TO PUSH.

10% of all proceeds from custom orders are donated to the charity of your choice. 15% of all proceeds from any charity sweatband like “The Pink Ribbon” goes to supporting its cause such as Breast Cancer. Even if one sweatband is ordered, we’ll send a check. Here are some phenomenal charities to choose from. Thank you so much for your support and the support of the people around us!

We improve the lives of people affected by cancer, now.

At LIVESTRONG, we fight for the more than 32.5 million people around the world affected by cancer now. There can be- and should be- life after cancer for more people. We provide direct services to anyone affected by cancer; connect people and communities with the services they need; and call for the state, national and world leaders to help fight this disease.

The mission of Colin’s Hope is to raise water safety awareness to prevent children from drowning. Colin’s Hope was established in 2008 after 4 year old Colin Holst tragically drowned in a public pool in South Austin with life guards on duty and family members present. After Colin drowned, his parents learned that drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children under 5 and a leading cause for ages 1-14. Colin’s Hope is an effective community force for water safety awareness. We distribute more than 70,000 water safety packets to families each year and impact thousands more with our billboard, ad, PSA and outreach campaign. We sponsor swim lessons for children who may not otherwise be able to afford them and donate life jackets to loaner boards at area lakes. Additionally, our Athlete Ambassadors SWEAT it out raising awareness and funds to help prevent drowning.

iEmpathize is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to combating crimes against children. Our mission is to eradicate child exploitation and engage culture in creative solutions. We focus in prevention, intervention, aftercare, and advocacy. Exploitation occurs when a person or group of people take advantage of another person’s vulnerability in order to obtain personal gain. Human trafficking—one of the most severe forms of exploitation—is modern day slavery. There are more slaves today than ever before in history. Exploitation is a multifaceted issue that affects all levels of society worldwide. Vulnerable children are specially targeted.

(AFO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization centered around connecting the Aggies of Texas A&M University, and their friends and family, with local and international orphan care opportunities. We are a member and project of the The Orphan Care Network (TOCN), and exist to share God’s love with orphaned children. We have created a network of opportunity for Aggies to serve. Both locally and internationally, we are partnering with like-minded organizations and utilizing their frameworks to care for orphans. From orphanage financial support, building projects and day camps to foster care volunteering and exploited child rescue efforts, our goal is to create a steady stream of funds, people and resources into the lives of orphaned children.
